1. Global Exhibition Industry Close to Pre-Pandemic Levels

As per UFI’s Global Exhibition Barometer 2023 report, the exhibition industry has bounced back with full force and has almost reached the pre-pandemic levels. Here are some of the highlights from the report-

  • In 2022, the revenue from trade shows worldwide reached around 78% of what they were in 2019.
  • In 2023, the revenue is expected to reach 97% of the pre-pandemic levels.
  • Australia, the UK, the US, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil are countries expected to have the highest level of normal activity in the second half of 2023.

2. Knowland Reports Higher Event and Meeting Volume in June 2023

Knowland is one of the largest data-as-a-service providers for the hospitality industry. According to its recent report, the event and meeting volume in June 2023 was 30.3% higher than in June 2022.

Moreover, the top 25 event markets in the country have recovered almost 90% performance compared to 2019. Austin and Nashville recorded the strongest recoveries with 74% and 42% higher growth, respectively.  

3. InfoComm 2023 Records Strong Uptick in Exhibitors and Attendees

InfoComm is one of the largest exhibitions for the AV (Audiovisual) and information communication industry. InfoComm 2023 was held from June 10-16 in Orlando, Florida. Compared to 2022, the week-long event recorded a strong uptick in exhibitors and attendees.

The event had 700 exhibitors and was attended by over 29,000 verified visitors from 115 countries. IncoComm 2022 had 522 exhibitors and around 19,600 verified visitors from 110 countries. The event also hosted over 100 hours of training and education on emerging AV trends, including technologies like AI.

4. Another Successful Year for Jewelry Trade Event JCK

JCK is one of the largest jewelry industry gatherings in the world. This year, the event was held from June 2-5 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was an all-out success.

The 2023 edition of the event attracted over 18,000 attendees, an increase of 8% compared to JCK 2022. The 430,000 square feet show floor was completely sold out, and over 1,900 companies exhibited at the event. In 2024, the event is scheduled from May 31-June 3, and is expected to be the biggest in the event’s history.
