Spread over 1 million square feet of floor space and 30 acres of outdoor space; the event attracted over 27,000 attendees from 46 countries. Compared to last year, the event saw 20% higher registrations from landscape contractors and a 5% increase in the number of dealers. Sponsorships, booth sales, and education sessions also witnessed a considerable uptick.

2 - IMEX America 2023 Records the Largest Edition in Event’s History

The 2023 edition of IMEX America, the largest event for global events and meetings in the US, broke all its records to become the largest edition in the event’s history. Organized from 16-19 October at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, the event attracted over 15,000 attendees, of which over 5,000 were buyers.

It had 360 booths, a 9% rise compared to 2022, and the exhibitors reserved 20% more floor space. The event had over 3,400 exhibiting companies and over 80,000 pre-scheduled meetings, of which around 70,000 were between exhibitors and buyers.

3 - New Report Suggests Higher Booth Space Prices

According to a recent report by SmartXpo and Profisy, the annual cost of booth space has increased by almost 7% annually at 57% of trade shows since the COVID-19 pandemic. In around 25% of trade shows, especially the larger events, the prices have shot up by over 10% per year.

The rising booth space cost makes it crucial for exhibitors to be extra cautious with event selection. Start planning for the event at least a few months in advance and leverage digital channels to expand your reach. A fun and engaging booth activity like trade show games can also support your event objectives by attracting more people to the booth.
